Telnet - Wow! (Module 1)

Comments

I still use Telnet but only for talking to certain devices like switches and controllers. Those really were the days. I remember using MSDOS for all it was worth and now some people are afraid of the command prompt.
I have never used Telnet before, but I am definately a MS DOS junkie. That's what I learned the majority of my computer skills using!! I still love it, that's probab;y why I didn't mind Telnet.
I to learned on dos aswell, but I love my gui interfaces so long as they are well designed(which most aren't). And for the next task in mod one don't bother downloading the toolbar just use the command line to ping curtin.

I agree with you there Anthony, and I have to get to the next task first. I am still stuck on FTP. As I type this message I am on hold with my Internet Provider to see if they can shed some light on the situation. Also while I am typing this message - Did you go to school in Maffra or in Sale? I went to school in Sale and all my family are there.

I went to school in Maffra MSC all the way, what school did you go to in Sale?

Well, I went to St Thomas P/S then I went to Sion, then to St Pats but got kicked out and went to Sale College. Thats the shortened version anyway. I think your the same age as me (I was born in 1980) but do you know of Kirsty Magnuson who went to MSC, she is a couple of years younger than me - maybe about three years younger.

HI.Just wanting to know why you got kicked out of st.pats?..............Or cant you talk about it....................TELL ME TO MIND MY OWN BUSINESS IF ITS PRIVATE!......
Nah I don't mind who knows. I was REMOVED from school as I refused to do an assignment on "How bad abortion is". As St Pats is a Catholic School they do not believe in that, so I failed the subject and they had me removed so I would not poison the other students minds!! It didn't matter as six of my friends came with me to Sale College to complete our VCE!!

Very good, stand up for your rights. Why worry about you poisoning the students mind, has'ant the Catholic priests done enouth of that over the past decade?.Anyway as long as you finished your v.c.e.I dont have a high school education,as a matter of fact i dont even have a primary school education either.......lol................thats not a lie,it's true.

Yes I did finish my VCE and studied a Certificate 3 in Information Technology at the same time to bump up my VCE end of year score. How come you don't have a primary school education. That is very unusal?

I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth and into a family that success is how much money and how much material objects you own.Education was not that important if it ment that there was no money at the end of it.I did attend primary school but failed, however they let me go up to high school but i failed that (Year 8 twice) so in fact i have no formal education as i have officialy no record of passing any. However i can write and pass uni study at a rate of 70%.

I am not rich..........one of my brothers drives a ferrari among other cars........and he is one of the most arogant pricks you could ever meet.I myself on the other hand have lived in and seen extreame oppression and poverty, unemployement,no oppurtunity even a government dept. in Victoria voilating one rights with that protest and defence going all the way to the state premeirs office.

When one lives and sees this one starts reading books, journals and obserserving life and one becomes highly educated. One can understand world political theorys and philosophy, even social issues when one live's or sees it on a daily basis.Philosophies of nature, self and mind can be understood, histories of Man's cultures can be understood. The difference between communism and socialism can be clearly seen.Fine art can be observed and appreciated.Science becomes a walk in the park.

The scars of a upbringing like mine become however a daily battle of addiction, violence and terrible life skills, unable to form a relationship of any kind and if achieved you treat people sometimes poorly, all the while you gain more insight and education about life and of course obtaining a university education to create oppurtunity for your self and your family (Wife and kids).

Sorry this is a long post i hope you dont delete it i have rambled on a bit,hay

Talk again soon.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Sorry I have not written back but work has been hectic and my little family all ended up with Gastro. It has been a night mare week. I wish my parents were not so hard on me when it came to school, my mother says that you will never amount to anything with your education so make sure you finish your degree. She is always harping on me and making sure I am doing my uni work and I am 27!!!! Anyway I better start doing my work on the next module before I fall to far behind.

Thanks

Alison
